15th Congress of Nepali Congress process started, ward session today and tomorrow

Kathmandu. The 15th Central Convention of Nepali Congress is starting from today. According to the Congress Central Election Committee, ward sessions will be held today and tomorrow. The ward convention will elect a chairman, two vice-chairmen including a woman, a secretary and a joint secretary. According to the constitution of the Congress, the ward president is also given the right to nominate ward members.

 According to which, the ward chairman of the rural municipality will be able to nominate five people, the ward chairman of the city-sub-metropolitan city will be allowed to nominate six and the ward chairman of the metropolitan city will be able to nominate seven people.

There is a provision that one-third of the ward committee members must be women. According to the principle of inclusiveness in the constitution, there is a provision to nominate ward members from active members, taking into account the representation of all communities, minorities, persons with disabilities and youth.
