15 people injured in a clash between two groups in Rautahat
Kathmandu. At least 15 people were injured in a clash between two groups in Gaur Municipality 6 Sabgadha of Rautahat. The dispute started after the Muslim community protested about the local Hindu community going to Janti playing baja. A clash took place on Thursday night itself. DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal, Spokesperson of District Police Office Rautahat, said that although the police dispersed the two groups after taking control of the situation, the clashes started again on Friday morning.
A dispute started over the playing of instruments by people who came to Sabgadha from Boudhimai Municipality-9 Sarmujwa. In the night, both groups pelted stones. In the morning, both parties gathered and argued on the same issue. DSP Basyal informed that the police fired 12 rounds of aerial fire and more than 40 cells of tear gas to control the clash between the two communities.
