15 arrested including Indian who attacked police office
Kathmandu. Police have arrested 15 people related to vandalism, arson and looting of the police office during the Genji movement. According to SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Spokesperson of Kathmandu Police Complex, those persons have been detained based on solid evidence that they are involved in the incident.
Among those arrested are 25-year-old Sujan Waiwa of Bardibas 5 of Mahottari, 24-year-old Yuvraj Bhandari of Melung 6 of Dolakha, 25-year-old Anil Budha of Bhimdatta 6 of Kanchanpur, 21-year-old Anil Bhujel of Azirkot 5 of Gorkha, 24-year-old Soyav Khan of Jaipurgram, Rajasthan, India, 20-year-old Vikas Agri of Mahendranagar Ainthpur, Kanchanpur.
According to the details released by the Kathmandu Police on Tuesday, among those arrested are 21-year-old Tirthaman Tamang of Shailung 8, Dailekh, Rajesh Tamang, 27-year-old of Baaiya Makwanpur, Mohan Tamang, 32, of Nagarjun 8, Kathmandu, Subas Tamang, 31, of Kakani 1, Nuwakot, Suchen Tamang, 25, of Sunkosi 1, Sindhuli, Subas Gotame, 41, of Dhulikhel 11, Kavre. They are Bhuvan Shahi, 27, of Belauri 1 Baisakhi, Kanchanpur, Savin Rai, 29, of Irkhu 1, Sindhupalchok, and Govind Kumar Thakur, 24, of Loharpatti 7, Mahottari.
