14 people including former Deputy Prime Minister Rayamazhi and former Home Minister Khan were found guilty in the fake Bhutanese refugee case
Kathmandu. Fourteen people including former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamazhi and former Home Minister Balkrishna Khan have been found guilty in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees. District Court Kathmandu convicted them on Tuesday.
Similarly, 7 people have been acquitted in this case. Ramsharan KC, Tankkumar Gurung, Sandeep Rayamazhi, Pratik Thapa, Lakshmi Maharjan, Keshav Tuladhar and Ashish Budhathoki were acquitted. In the case of the absconding accused, the case has been adjourned as per the law when he is arrested.
Among those found guilty are Rayamazhi, Khan along with Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari, Sagar Rai, Sandesh Sharma, Indrajit Rai, Govind Kumar Chaudhary, Angtawa Sherpa, Teknarayan Pandey. It is mentioned in the summary order of the court that they committed a crime against the state by committing fraud in an organized manner.
