125 contracts stopped due to fuel price hike

Chitwan. 125 contract works run by Infrastructure Development Office Chitwan have come to a halt. Due to the rising cost of essential items including fuel, it has become impossible to work on these contracts. According to the head of the office, Birendra Kumar Chaudhary, there are 267 projects in this office, and 217 of them are currently under contract. Out of them, 125 projects have come to a standstill, he said. According to him, the infrastructure development work has stopped due to the increase in fuel prices and the problem of shortage of vitamin 0 compared to the time when the contract was signed.

Chief Chaudhary said, "Construction professionals have submitted a letter to the office demanding a process to stop the 'construction holiday' projects of a nature that can be stopped immediately." He said that after the increase in the price of fuel, infrastructure construction is being affected due to the increase in prices in all sectors. 

Although 50 projects are to be done by the consumer committee from this office, the work of those projects has not been completed. He said that the office is currently constructing 19 bridges and roads are being constructed under other projects.
