12 sick contracts of irrigation were broken, the process of breaking 40 more road contracts started

Kathmandu. 12 sick contracts for irrigation, which have been stalled for years due to lack of contract agreement, have been broken. 12 patient contracts under former People's Embankment Program Field Office No. 2 Jaleshwar Mahottari have been broken. A 15-day public notice has already been published on 30 October to break the 6 sick contracts of the Babai irrigation project.

The Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising had instructed the subordinate agencies to break the sick contracts in order to end the trend of taking contracts but not working and stalling projects.  Accordingly, the process of breaking the contract was advanced.

Irrigation and Water Resources Management Project, Janakpurdham, through a public notice on Sunday, has informed about the intention to terminate the contract on 16th June 2081 and 1st July 2081.
