11 km Nagadhunga-Malekhu section under Prithvi Highway is blacked out

Chitwan. Under Prithvi Highway, 11 km Nagdhunga Malekhu section has been blacked out. Last year eight kilometers were blacked, this year three more kilometers were blacked. According to Vijay Darai, Engineer of Nagadhunga Muglin Road Project, under the third phase, 40 percent i.e. some areas of Kurintar, Fisling, Charoudi and Vishaltar have been blacklisted. Black paper continues in Bandare of Dhading, while bases and subbases have been placed in Fisling and Jawang Khola areas.

Out of the six bridges in the said section, the above ground work is being done on Hugdi and Charoodi. He said that they are determined to ensure that there is no shortage of construction materials.

He expressed the fear that although materials were taken from Charoudi and Benighat and Ichchakamana of Dhading, there will be shortage of materials to work for a long time.

The upgrading of this 38 km long road section has been started with the World Bank's loan assistance of Rs 4 billion 805 million.
